Protein Mess

Eton Mess is one of those classic desserts that will impress at any dinner party and can be enjoyed year-round. Well as virtuous as I would like to pretend to be, I rarely have time to whip up a real meringue so my twist on it is this fast, family favourite that we enjoy any night of the week - no special occasion required. With only 4 (very basic) ingredients and over 21g protein per serving I'm pretty sure it will soon be a firm favourite of yours too... you'd absolutely never know there is a sneaky serving of whey protein included.


Serves 2



  • 200g 0% fat Greek yoghurt

  • 1 scoop (30g) Whey Protein (I have used Efectiv White Choc Raspberry)

  • 2 regular shop bought meringue nests

  • 60g fresh raspberries (or whatever berries you have to hand!)



  1. In a medium sized bowl, hand whip up the Greek yoghurt and whey protein until fully combined and a thick consistency has formed.

  2. Between two serving bowls or decorative glass dishes, divide the protein yoghurt mix. Crumble a meringue next over each, and top with the fresh berries... done!

You can easily change this up by experimenting with your favourite whey protein flavours and mixing up the toppings.... berries, nuts, chocolate... the possibilities are endless!
